Vacancy: Weighbridge station operator

  • Plus general office admin/sales & co-ordinating truck fleet

  • Part Time, 24 hrs/week  -  flexible on hours/days

  • Handy Mt Wellington location

  • People person role in a small tight-knit team

Process sales transactions for truck cleanfill tipping and aggregate supplies via our weighbridge station, plus general admin tasks.

We’re after a broadly experienced, all-round office person to join our small team at our Mt Wellington aggregate supply and cleanfill tipping yard.  You will primarily manage the sales recording & docketing process for trucks entering our yard to tip cleanfill and/or collect aggregate supplies.  From our weighbridge station you’ll process each truck driver’s transaction and co-ordinate their tip and/or aggregate load via walkie-talkie with our loader operators and any other staff involved in the process.  You will also assist in co-ordinating our own haulage trucks which cart out cleanfill and return with bulk aggregate supplies.  Would suit someone who has previously worked as a truck despatcher/receiver or in a similar environment. 

Transactions are processed using the web based WeighTrax software system to record and document each sale, so you need intermediate level or better computer skills and be competent using Microsoft programmes, eg Outlook, Word, Excel.  You will have broad all-round administration experience, logical thinking, and importantly, excellent attention to detail. As well as being a confident multi-tasker, you’ll have great communication skills and a friendly manner as you’ll be the main ‘face’ greeting drivers as they come into our site.  You also need to be someone who can remain cool, calm and patient - yet stay confident - when our yard gets super busy with high volumes of trucks coming in. 

Excellent spoken and written English. Experience with MYOB and an understanding of Health & Safety practices would be a huge advantage.

Great part time hours – 24 hours per week with early starts and we’re open to flexible days/hours to suit you.

Vacancy: Wheel Washer/Yardman

Yardman/Truck Wheel washer – Part time – Mt Wellington
20-30 hours over 3 days per week. 

We are a busy tipping site and aggregate supply yard.  We require a person to join our team responsible for washing the wheels on tipper trucks as they exit our yard.   This involves using a heavy-duty hose and water blaster to remove mud and dirt from truck wheels before they leave our worksite.  Other duties include assisting to keep our yard clean, tidy and organised where required.

  • Must be totally reliable, motivated and have an excellent work ethic

  • Good communication skills with a friendly manner

  • Excellent common sense and practical skills

  • Understanding of health and safety practices on worksites

  • The work is physically demanding and repetitive so you must be fit.

Good rates. PPE and safety gear provided.
